Belleair

Incorporated in 1925, Belleair is a cozy resort town in Pinellas County, Florida. Belleair got its start with the construction of the luxurious Belleview Hotel in 1896, with residential communities and service sectors springing to life around the hotel soon after.

Belleair is located on the Gulf of Mexico, with 2.6 miles of pristine oceanfront serving as one of the boundaries for the city. Every residential community within Belleair is never more than 3 miles from the nearest beach. The city is home to several schools, including Belleair Montessori Academy and Belleair Elementary School.

Belleair is known for its proximity to an eclectic variety of restaurants and cafes, from European cuisine at nearby Chez Colette’s French Bistro to modern American fare at the E&E Stakeout Grill. The Wildflower Cafe, a pet-friendly eatery, is just minutes away in nearby Clearwater. Grocery shopping is available to Belleair residents at Publix Super Markets. Nearby Jam’s Produce offers a variety of fruits and vegetables grown locally in Florida.

For easy access to daily exercise and fresh air, Belleair residents enjoy the beloved Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail as it winds through the City of Belleair, offering an idyllic path for walking, bicycling, inline skating, pet outings, and more. Residents can also enjoy morning or afternoon strolls with family and pets at various parks and nature preserves, including Hallett Park and Magnolia Park. Belleair is also home to one of the area’s best golf courses, the Belleair Country Club. The Belleair Country Club has a private marina for access to the region’s many waterways.

The beloved home to a tight-knit community of Pinellas County natives and seasonal residents alike, Belleair hosts various events from community-wide garage sales to an Arbor Day Celebration, Family Field Day, Community Golf Tournaments, and more. The city’s official website offers a frequently updated calendar of events and an option to sign up for weekly notifications of new happenings.
