Redington Shores

Incorporated in 1955 and encompassing 220 acres of land with 1.19 miles of Gulf of Mexico oceanfront along picturesque Gulf Boulevard, Redington Shores is a dream come true for those who covet the “beachfront and poolside” lifestyle. The city is located on a barrier island, with the Gulf of Mexico to the west and the Intracoastal Waterway to the east. The community features a diverse range of development, from quaint tropical cabanas to soaring condominiums.

Several years ago, Redington Shores invested in the creation and maintenance of several parks. These were strategically placed throughout the city so that residents are never more than a few blocks from parks like Del Bello Park, Constitution Park, and Redington Shores Beach.

Redington Shores is tucked between the more well-known Madeira Beach and Indian Shores. The result? The Redington community is quieter and more “undiscovered.” As one travel guide put it, “North Redington Beach and Redington Shores are about as under-the-radar as it gets. While the beaches here never really draw crowds (despite their natural beauty), these towns are home to some great restaurants and cafes.”

In addition to being the home of about 2,500 year-round residents, thousands of people make their way to Redington Shores each year to enjoy the community for the winter season. The city offers several beach resorts, hotels, and bed and breakfasts to ensure there is something for everyone. The nearby Largo Intercoastal Marina is a full-service municipal marina. Also located nearby in Largo, the Largo Golf Course is perfect for an afternoon on the green. The Redington Yacht and Tennis Club offers wonderful local amenities for residents and visitors alike.
